Photographer Gary Cox traveled to Rossville, Tenn. on Saturday July 24, 2021 to photograph the action at the fifth Ranch Sorting show, in a series of five, at Bradford Performance Horses’ Arena. The show offered double points in Open, Amateur, Youth, and Novice Amateur. The Round Robin (10 people maximum, at $150 per person) filled up. The July heat wave had hit the mid south, with temperatures soaring into the mid-90s and, coupled with high humidity, elevating the heat index to 103-105°F. The covered arena offered much needed shade, but people and horses alike were sweating it!
