New Arena Open At Ranch One
In Batesville, Miss.
Paint was wet on the front entrance doors to the new Ranch One Arena being built by Lee Garner of Batesville, Miss. at the Mid-South Cutting Horse Association show on May 26. The wet paint was a continued sign of progress towards completion of the 100,000 sq. foot building which is now being used for cutting horse shows.
Garner completed his first covered arena 20 years ago. The new building has two cutting arenas set up at each end of the building with a working pen at the center. Cutting has flourished at Ranch one and interest in the sport convinced Garner to expand his cutting venue.
700 new stalls are being built behind the facility and will supplement the 300 already on the property.
The Mid-South Cutting Horse Association and the North Mississippi Cutting Horse Association hold cutting shows at Ranch One each month.
Once the new facility is completed and all the paint is dry, Garner says he will host other equine related events such as barrel racing.
