Northwest sophomore Cody Dowell took home the Rangers’ top finish with a third place result in barrel racing during the weekend’s Ranger Rodeo, the regular season finale for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s (NIRA) Ozark Region slate.
Dowell placed second in Thursday evening’s short-go with a time of 13.74 seconds, earning 30 points and finishing just behind East Mississippi's Jaylie Matthews, who would go on to be the winner in Saturday evening’s championship round.
