Polo Raises Funds For Multiple Charities Fayette County Animal Rescue, Girls Inc., and Fayette Cares Memphis Polo Club devotes their summer Sunday afternoon matches to benefit several charity organizations. The June 20th match raised funds for Fayette County Animal Rescue. The Agility Dog Club of Memphis was also on hand to show how their dogs run an obstacle course, explain how the dogs are trained, and the work they do. The July 18 match will benefit Girls, Inc., an after-school program empowering young girls. The public is invited to compete in a tailgate contest and watch the fast action on the turf. There will be a hat contest with celebrity judges. The August 22 match will benefit Fayette Cares, a community-supported, non-profit organization that provides emergency food, temporary shelter, domestic violence intervention, clothing and household necessities, rent and utility aid, and other crucial services to impoverished people in Fayette County. Alexandra Wardlaw, Executive Director, invites everyone to the match and the tailgate picnic. Fayette Cares operates the Good Samaritan Thrift Shop in Somerville, TN.
