On July 24 & 25, 2021 the Tennessee Stock Horse Association (TNSHA) hosted their summer clinic and show at the Roane State Expo Center in Harriman, TN.
July 24th:
The weekend started with an all-day clinic hosting top-notch clinicians Brandy Johnson, Joe Harper, and Alicia Landman. Clinics also included an unmounted skills workshop put on by TNSHA Board Members. Forty participants rotated in groups of ten between each clinic. Joe Harper and Brandy Johnson are both accomplished NRCHA professionals out of Bowling Green, KY. Joe shared his cow-work techniques with each clinic group while Brandy sharpened reining skills.Alicia Landman successfully trains out of Arrington, TN and focused on confidence in trail and pleasure for clinic participants. TNSHA also hosted a Youth and Open Jackpot Ranch Riding class after the clinics. Youth Jackpot winner was Olivia Ellsworth and Open Jackpot winner was Jordan Dillenbeck.
July 25th:
TNSHA hosted their July Stock Horse Show with reining, cowhorse, trail, and pleasure events in a multitude of divisions. Reserve high point prizes were horse care bundles put together and sponsored by Bonnie’s Barnyard. Champion high point prizes were laser engraved spur straps made by Willow Ridge Show Equipment.
