The Mells Foxhounds hosted their annual Hunter Pace on September 27, 2020 at Sugar Valley Farm and Goodman Equestrian Facility near Lynnville, Tenn. They had a good turnout with 104 riders and 38 teams participating. It was their biggest Hunter Pace ever and a good way to celebrate the start of their 56th hunt season. Mells will host its Opening Meet and Blessing of the Hounds on November 7th at Goodman Equestrian Facility. Winners of the Hunter Pace were:
Adult First Flight: First Place, 25 seconds off the optimal time: For Fox Sake (Beth Geiser, Deb Barnes, Kim Morris, Anne Trout, and Jen Reisenbichler)
Adult Second Flight: First Place, 15 seconds off the optimal time: Three Amigos (Clare Pinney, Patti Salmon, Ben Fly)
Junior First Flight: First Place, 18 minutes off the optimal pace, The Karens (Cat Dye, Kai Walker, Masha Brinsky, Paige Gifford)
Junior Second Flight: First Place, 1 minute 25 seconds off optimal time: Fox Trot Troopers Original (Abbie, Barbara, Breana, Aniston)
