The 71st annual Germantown Charity Horse Show (GCHS) season got underway Saturday night March 2, 2019 with the Queen’s Ball at the Ridgeway Hilton in Memphis, Tenn. The 2019 Queen is Miss Sarah Lynn Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Foster and granddaughter of the late “Sonny “and Mary Liz Foster, founding members of the Germantown Charity Horse Show. Sarah continues the legacy of her grandfather’s love of carriage driving and will not only reign as the Queen at this year’s show, but will also show in the Carriage Driving division. Sarah is a freshman at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga majoring in environmental policy and planning.
Germantown, Tenn. Mayor Mike Palazzolo was on hand to present the official proclamation from the City of Germantown honoring the 2019 Queen, as well as present her with the Queen’s Gift, courtesy of King Furs and Fine Jewelry.

Presentation of the Royal Court and Coronation of the Queen was followed by dinner and dancing to the music of Thump Daddy.
