The first weekend in November (2-4), 2018 finished the 2018 MegFord Schooling Show season at the Show Place Arena, Memphis, Tenn. Ann Ford said the show was small, about 75 entries, but the numbers were up for Sunday’s classes.
Friday evening featured the jumper classes along with hospitality. Brer Fox Farm again sponsored the dinner, as did Scuffles, the official screen printer for MegFord designs. The chili dogs were cooked by Katie Butler, with heaping sides of Fritos. Ann Ford said they really like the new office facility: “It’s fantastic!”
Responding to requests from the exhibitors, Ann Ford said they organized a Costume Class for Saturday evening. Awards were given for most beautiful, most authentic, most frightening, and the judge’s favorite.
Ann Ford is in the process of planning the year end awards banquet, which will be March 3, 2019. “We had 150 people attend last year,” she said.
She already has their 2019 show schedule, again at the Show Place Arena in Memphis. Show dates are: March 1-3; June 21-23; and November 1-3. Ann Ford said that Hunter’s Edge Stables will host the July/August schooling show next year.
