River Run Eventing sent a large group of riders to MTPC Horse Trials this year, and we are very proud of their accomplishments. Sela Ward finished on her dressage score of a 30.8 to win the Jr. Novice A division aboard her mare QT Pie. Cristen Cleveland also added no further penalties to her dressage score, finishing the weekend with a 38.0 score and placing second in the Jr. Novice B division. Cristen and her mare Summertown Blues also won the Novice divisions TIP award, for the highest placing off the track Thoroughbred at each level. Our youngest rider, 10 year old Mia Dunford and her pony Touched By An Angel, had no jumping penalties and only added only a few time penalties to their dressage score to finish their first Beginner Novice event in 10th place. Amie Triplett finished her first recognized event on her Dressage score of 33.3 to win the very large Starter Jr. division aboard Road Less Traveled. Julia Jennings, aboard her Mischief Managed, and Alyssa Landrum, aboard her Root Beer Float, finished Jr. Starter in 11th and 14th place, respectively.
