The Kentucky Classic Combined Driving Event was held October 6-9, 2016 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. The long weekend offered gorgeous weather for competitors in the Preliminary, Intermediate , FEI 1* , and FEI 2* divisions. There was also the 2016 USEF National Pony Driving Championships this weekend.

The judges for the 2016 event were Anne Marie Turbe, Elimar Thunert, and Kail Palmer-Miller. The technical delegate was Jeroen Houtermann, and the course designer was Richard Nicoll.

Driver Jose Hernandez, in the Intermediate Pair Horse division, was first in dressage and marathon, but was third in cones. He finished second overall. He was driving a pair of Friesian x Saddlebreds.
