Ostner at AQHA Congress

Savannah Ostner and A Bueno Chic won the NRHA Youth 14-18 Championship at the AQHA Congress and has signed an National Letter of Intent to ride for Auburn University next year.

Savannah is a Senior at St Mary’s and her horse, A Bueno Chic, aka “Steve,” is owned by her grandmother Debbie Honeycutt. Her trainer is NRHA professional Sam Schaffhauser of Eads, TN.

“Steve” is 11 years old and Savannah has been very successful with him. Recently, at the Tulsa Reining Classic in September, they won the NAAC Youth 14-18 and were Reserve Champions in the Intermediate Non Pro and Novice Horse Non Pro 2. They were third in Non Pro.

At the AQHA Congress, they were top ten in Intermediate Non Pro and Non Pro. They won the Youth 14-18 Championship. They were also finalists in reining at AQHA Youth World Show.

They will compete next at the NRHA futurity, going for the NAAC Youth 14-18 Championship, and also competing in the NAAC Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro, and the NAAC Novice Horse Non Pro 2. Savannah is excited about joining the national champion Auburn equestrian team next fall!
