Dr. Jennie Ivey, Assistant Professor and Extension Equine Specialist at UT Knoxville, announced that registration for this October’s Tennessee Master Horse Program (TMHP) is now open. Registration can be completed online or via mail. Topics to be covered include:

Responsible Horse Ownership
Equine Nutrition and Feeding
Pasture Management
Equine Health and Preventative Care
Manure and Waste Management
Equine Economics
Equine Senses, Communication and Herd Behavior
Developing Training Programs
Vices and Problem Behavior

The cost for the course is $175 and includes a TMHP manual, meals during the program, and incentives to be distributed upon course completion. Ivey asks that interested folks register as soon as possible.
