Mid South Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity Exhibition for the offspring of select stallions The annual Mid South Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity was held October 29-31 at the Shelby ShowPlace Arena in Memphis, TN. The show offers exhibition opportunities for the offspring of select stallions at 19 Quarter Horse breeding farms in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. “We had a great show this year!” said Secretary/Treasurer/Enrollment Coordinator Penny Robertson. “Entries were up a little from last year. We paid-out $12,000 in winnings, and gave away 42 belt buckles, thanks to our Belt Buckle Sponsors. We had entry gifts for each exhibitor and, overall, it was a great show. We would like to thank each person who helped make this show a success.” Some of the winners were: Yearling Longe Line: Wild Cherry Impulsion, by Chocolate Impulsions; owner Terry Howard of Burlison, TN. 2-year-old Snafle Bit: Gotta Zip Chip, by Mr Chips N Dreams; owner James Neisler of Jackson, TN. 3-year-old Shaffle Bit: Treasured Hotrodder, by Treasure Chip; owner Barbara Watkins of Arlington, TN. Pros Vindicator offspring took first and second place in the 4 & over Non Pro Maturity class: first to Trouble Is Ima Pro, owned by Debora Martin of Scottsboro, AL and second to Vinnys Siete, owned by Christi Free of Coldwater, MS. Winner of the Novice Amateur Western Pleasure was another Pros Vindicator offspring: Hottest Vinny Yet, owned by Kamela Remsen Thompson of Brandon, MS. 2 & 3-year old Non Pro Western Pleasure: In a Good Way by Good Bar Dot Com; owner Julie Woodard of Greenbrier, AR. The Breeders Maturity winner was Freckles N Dreams by Mr Chips N Dreams, owned by James Neisler of Jackson, TN and shown by Jeff Honey.
