From mirrors in both the schooling and competition rings to the gorgeous pastoral setting, Travelers Rest Farm provided the perfect setting for the Central Tennessee Dressage Association’s (CTDA) August 6th schooling show. The weather was perfect, despite the forecast, and added to the great atmosphere at the show.
A full schedule was on tap, with 63 riders in Traditional, Walking Horse, and Eventing Dressage, ranging from Introductory Level to FEI Level classes. The day began with two largely contested Introductory Level tests, and continued until late afternoon, ending with the Walking Horse Dressage tests. The show offered classes to school young riders or horses at their first dressage event, or opportunities for upper level competitors to move up the ranks.
Jenni Hogan (L) judged the tests, and provided solid constructive compliments and criticism for each horse and rider pair.
This show was the sixth of eight this year hosted by Central Tennessee Dressage Association. The next one will be held on September 17, 2016 at Walnut Trace Farm in Nashville, TN.
