TWHBEA Announces World Show The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) is pleased to announce that the World Show will be held on August 2, 3, 4, 2007 at the Calsonic arena in Shelbyville, Tennessee. The World Show has been held on the Friday and Saturday before the start of the WHOA Pleasure Horse International for the past several years. “Having the World Show on the weekend preceding the start of the International, represented a convenience to the participants of both shows in terms of costs and logistics. However, due to the lack of availability of the Miller facility, the TWHBEA has moved forward with new dates and expanded the versatility show to three days to include rail classes. This year represents the tenth anniversary and the TWHBEA is planning a worldclass show with outstanding awards, lucrative exhibitor incentives, the finest versatility competition in the Tennessee Walking Horse industry and a chance for competitors to double versatility points,” said Kristi Lane, TWHBEA Deputy Executive Director. The show bill consists of 39 classes with a payout of $300 per class. The rail classes will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 2 and versatility classes begin at 10:00 on Friday and 9:30 am on Saturday. This event is free to the public and there will be door prizes and gifts for the children as well as a barn party for exhibitors. The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA), headquartered in Lewisburg, Tenn., is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion and protection of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed and to help assure its general welfare.
