Tennessee Junior Rodeo Association 2006-2007 Queen Crowned The 2006 Tennessee Junior Rodeo Association State Finals were held August 25th-26th at the UT Martin Arena. Tori Bonacquista was crowned 2006-2007 Rodeo Queen. She is 11- years old and is the daughter of Mark & Ginny Bonacquista who live in Henderson, Tenn. Tori is home educated with Gateway Christian School and is a straight A student. Her favorite subjects are Latin, Art, and Science. Tori received her first pony at age 2 and has been riding ever since. She loves Western and English riding disciplines. She really loves rodeo, especially barrel racing, pole bending, and watching bull riding. Tori is the vice-president of her 4-H group. Tori dreams of co-owing Camp TAJE a Christian horse camp for children...along with her sister Alina, and also going into outer space. For now, she is excited to represent TJRA as their 2006-2007 queen, and competing in the TJRA. Tori would like to say God Bless to everyone and see you at the rodeo. The 2006-2007 Junior Rodeo season begins September 30th, in Henderson. If you are kindergarten to eight grade and love rodeo, western saddles, and “eatin some dirt”, come join us for a wonderful experience. Boys events include Bareback Bronco Riding, Senior and Junior Bull Riding, Breakaway Calf Roping, Chute Dogging, and Team Roping. Girls events include Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Breakaway Calf Roping, Goat Tying, and Team Roping. The sole purpose is to provide a truly western sport under standardized and approved rules of fair competition. Long before the boys and girls enter the arena, they spend many hours of practice, along with the responsibilities of animal care and maintenance of their equipment.
