On 9/11 Remembrance Day, Orrin Ingram and Stefanie Latham hosted the 25th annual Chukkers for Charity at Ingram’s Riverview Farm in Franklin, Tenn. The signature event raised funds for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!  Nashville singer/songwriter Layla Tucker sang the National Anthem, with Johnny & the Devil’s Box providing musical entertainment for the event.

The polo match pitted Ironhorse Farm vs. Low Key Ranch. The Ironhorse Farm’s team included host Orrin Ingram, Lexie Armstrong, Wes Finlayson and captain Armando Huerta. Low Key Ranch’s team included Bayard Erb, Cesar Rangel, Zulu Scott-Barnes and captain Stevie Orthwein. Both team captains have plenty of achievements, making this match a competitive one. Armando Huerta who has more than 25 years of experience and won both of Tennessee’s highest rated tournaments: The USPA Sportsmanship Cup and the USPA Intra Circuit. Stevie Orthwein, who is a third-generation polo player, won the National Intercollegiate Championship in 2002 and captained a competing team in the U.S. Open Polo Championship. In the end, team Ironhorse Farms was the winner. Team Low Key Ranch’s Stevie Orthwein was named most valuable player and won a King Jeweler’s Swiss Army watch.

Co-chairs for the 2021 event were Nina Lindley and Matt Paco. This year, Chukkers for Charity offered individual tents to accommodate up to 10 guests for sponsors and patrons, giving everyone a front row seat to the polo match. In the past, the event featured one large hospitality tent for sponsors and patrons. Attendees enjoyed a gorgeous day in Franklin, Tenn.

Dr. Monty McInturff of Tennessee Equine Hospital presented the cooler for the Best Playing Pony at this year’s event.
