In a city known for its Elvis sightings, Elvis was spotted at the Show Place Arena, Memphis, Tenn. on July 24, 2021 at the WTQHA show. Disguised as Lee Mize, Elvis showed the horse “A Timely Version” in the Level 1 Amateur Showmanship class on Saturday morning. With hips gyrating, Elvis did his best to impress the judges, moving to the music of several of his songs. Elvis’ appearance may have been a little early for Elvis week, August 11-17, 2021 at Graceland. But Elvis was the talk of the show on Saturday. Secretary Pat Kress commented that “Elvis was the highlight of the show.”

The TCB-themed show used the emblem of the letters TCB with a lightning bolt, which means “taking care of business in a flash.” The emblem appeared in several pieces of Presley’s custom jewelry, including a necklace and ring. The show ran July 22-25, 2021.

There were 74 horses brought to the show, with about “350 entries per judge,” Kress estimated. There were six judges at this show: Jeff Greaves, LG Heier, Michael Ochetto, Milt Alderman, Lynda Danielson, and Tanya Green. Under the six judges, exhibitors could earn WTQHA points, Mid-South QH Assn. points, and Alabama QH Assn. points. Haskell Sheeks was back in the announcer’s stand. The show offered the AQHA flat fee of $300 per horse for all AQHA class and administration fees and office fees. Norfleet Photography was the official photographer of the TCB Circuit.
