On June 20, Goodman Equestrian Facility in Lynnville, Tenn. hosted a CTDA (Central Tennessee Dressage Association) Schooling show. This show offered USDA classes as well as WDAA Western Dressage and Gaited Dressage classes. The show attracted 16 entries with Marie MacDonald judging all the rides in the outdoor arena.
Renita Gordon, manager of Goodman Equestrian, made sure the place was polished and spit shined for the competitors. She had goodie favor bags for each, and offered homemade blueberry cake and banana nut bread for breakfast. She had “lots of hospitality,” she said.
Scot MacGregor, CTDA President, commented that he and his horse Ozzy had a great time at the schooling show. “The footing was perfect in the outdoor area and the indoor was finally correct under the new management. We were welcomed and every person helping and volunteering was a joy to talk to and be with.” Ozzy, at just his second show, scored a 74% in Western Intro test 3.
Kelly Arnold, with KLA Dressage at River Rock Stables in Harvest, Alabama, said “The team had a super successful outing today” and she gave mention to her students and horses who did well.
High point riders at this show were:
Venanita Mays-AA
Scot MacGregor-Open
Amber Philips-Jr
The next CDTA Schooling show is July 11 at Old Hillsboro Manor in Franklin, TN. The Ole South Dressage Prelude and Ole South Dressage Classic, USDF recognized shows, are August 7-9 at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN. Find more information at: http://wordpress.tndressage.com/
