Organizer Kim Carpenter of Greystone Dressage wrote:
“We had a great little show today, and ended up having gorgeous weather even though the forecast called for lots of rain. A light rain fell for about the first 30 minutes of rides, and then just a nice cloudy sky, keeping the heat away with no more rain. It turned out to be a really nice time, beautiful horses, and super competitors.
“Riders all had great rides, and some received scores toward qualifying for their regional championship. Liz Hill and her horse Cairo earned scores towards their USDF Bronze medal this weekend.”
High point winners at the show were:
Junior/ Young Rider - Norah Jones
Adult Amateur - Elizabeth MacFarlane
Andalusian breed - Elizabeth MacFarlane
Oldenburg breed - Anne Dottore
Thoroughbred Incentive Program - Victoria Willis
Carpenter wished “a big thank you to Judy for being the competition ring steward; to Sharon for being warm up ring steward; to Patty for scribing; to Jessica Roberson Wright for the use of her beautiful facility; and, of course, to our TD Janice Welch and Judge Meris Greges.”
Greystone also hosts a Dressage Schooling Show series, which includes traditional Dressage, Western and Driven Dressage, also held at the Roberson Equestrian Facility in Murfreesboro. Schooling Shows are June 15, August 17, and October 19. Find more information at: www.greystonedressage.com
