The Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Stock Horse Team hosted the Region II American Stock Horse Association Show on November 17, 2018 at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The show included classes on working cowhorse, reining, pleasure, and trail. Team members not only successfully ran the show, but also competed in the show and won numerous division high point awards.
Stand out students include:
Lucas Brock (senior), Limited Non-Pro champion, riding Shakers Cowgal.
Jenna Seal (senior) was reserve champion in the Limited Non-Pro division, riding Hay Now Sunshine. MTSU students also clenched the lead in the Novice division, with Patricia Wingate earning the High Point Award riding Izzie Tornado. Mary Wade earned Reserve High Point on BC Pennys From Tari. Freshman student, Taylor Meek was reserve champion in the Youth-14-18 division, riding Dunnits Smokin. MTSU Stock Horse Team Coach, Andrea Rego was Reserve Champion in the Open division, riding Twentyeleventwister.
