The Tennessee Paint Horse Club held their last show of the 2017 season on October 21, 2017at the James E. Ward Ag Center in Lebanon, TN. Judges were Ricky Evans (Ga.) and Ann Jones (Ga.). The theme of the show was Spooktacular Finale Show, complete with a Halloween costume class, in addition to all the regular Paint horse classes, e.g., halter, showmanship, longe line, hunters, western pleasure, trail, ranch horse, and speed classes (barrel racing, pole bending). The show attracted 237 entries in seven divisions, which also included classes for non-APHA horses. The Open and Youth/Novice Youth divisions had the majority of entrants, 55 and 82 respectively. The Amateur division had 39 entries.
The show started with the First Annual Chili Cookoff, with some tough culinary decisions made by judges Marvin Butler and Katherine Fromm. Congratulations to Sheri Fennell, the Chili Cookoff winner.
