The Roane State Ag Expo Center in Harriman, Tennessee was the place to find some early “Fall Colors” at the Tennessee Paint Horse Club show on Saturday, September 23, 2017.  Not only was the weather warm, but the competition was just as hot! The show had special fees for all divisions to allow exhibitors the convenience of a one day show with four judges.

The day started with halter classes and went in to the evening when the competition was a treat for spectators during the Youth Barrels and Youth Poles classes.  Although there were plenty of entries in classes throughout the show, the Youth division and the Amateur Walk-Trot division had some of the largest class numbers of the day.  Another well represented group were the yearling longe line classes.

The Tennessee Junior Paint Horse Club (TjPHC) youth group held a silent auction fundraiser at this show. The group already has plans for an all-breed costume class and chili cookout at the club’s next show: October 21, 2017 at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon, Tenn.  This show will be a two-judge show.  The AjPHA is also sponsoring a drive for tack and horse supplies through the CHAMPs Challenge Tack Drive.  Donations will go to therapeutic riding barns working to recover after Hurricane
Harvey.
