In addition to rodeo and agriculture interests, Viars also enjoys reading and photography. She hopes to have a career that allows her to advocate for others.

“We’re thrilled to have this young lady represent the sport of rodeo for Tennessee,” said Pageant Director Sue Lynn Perry of Millington, TN.

“She is a high achiever and already very accomplished at such a young age. We’re expecting to see great things from her.”

As part of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, Miss Rodeo Tennessee and Miss Teen Rodeo Tennessee are ambassadors for the rodeo industry, handling pre-event publicity such as media interviews and community interaction such as visiting school children or civic groups.

They spend a year traveling throughout the state to promote the sport. Often they can be seen carrying the America flag horseback for the national anthem or carrying sponsor flags horseback during the rodeo.

Contestants are judged in the areas of horsemanship, personality, appearance and rodeo knowledge.
