Cedar Wind Farm in Oxford, Mississippi held its semiannual Combined Test and Dressage Show on May 20, 2017. Peggy Gaboury was the dressage judge; there were 37 combined test entries and 24 dressage riders, plus 2 in lead line. This combined test, organized by Russell Tumlin, is so popular because it is well established, well run, and gives young riders an opportunity to ride in an event at intro levels close to home. The course is well laid out and most of it can be observed from just a few vantage points.

Divisions were:

Novice, won By Julia Jennings riding One Under Par;
Training Derby, won by Marie Vitulla on Night Owl;
Beginner Novice, won by Olivia Lawhorn riding FGK King of Sports;
Beginner Novice (Modified), won by Hanna Miller on TEF Donawick III;
Antelope (maximum 24”), won by Stephanie Kinsler on Celtic Country;
Bobcat (maximum 18”), won by Jessica Reynolds on TEF Ranger; and
Cheetah (Maximum 12”), won by Sidney Brown riding A Formal Affair.

The Best Overall Score in the upper divisions was by Olivia Lawhorn riding FGK King of Sports, with a dressage score of 65, a clear round in cross country with 0.8 time faults. Her final score was 35.8 penalty points.

The Best Overall Score in the lower divisions was Stephanie Kinsler riding Celtic Country, with a dressage score of 71 and a clean cross country round with a final score of 29.0 penalty points.
