The 2017 mid-south schooling show series kicked off with the MegFord I Show at the ShowPlace Arena in Memphis, TN on March 17-18, 2017. There were 92 entries who came out to enjoy great weather and start earning points for this year’s show season. Prize money was offered for the first time in the Classics.

The $100 Covered Ring Classic was won by Wyatt Jennings riding Feeling Fine. The $200 Hunter Classic was won by Jackson Willard riding Panache. The $300 Jumper Classic was won by Mary Grayson Fauser riding Illuminate. The Best Child Rider Award at the show went to Meg Selvedge, riding Sweet Apple Splash.

The Mini Medal II 2’6” was won by Allison Gill, riding Island Girl. Jordan Ricketts won the Pony Medal on Teadoro. Jordan and Teadoro were also Pony Hunter 2’ – 2’6” Champions. Find full results of the show at horseshowsonline.com.

Upcoming schooling shows will be:  April 22, Hunter’s Edge Stables Show; May 27, Oak View Stables Schooling Show; June 16-17, MegFord Schooling show; July 8 and 29, Oak View Stables Schooling Shows; August 25-26, MegFord Schooling Show; September 16 and October 14,Oak View Stables Schooling Shows; November 3-4, MegFord Schooling Show; November 18, Autumn Chase Farm Schooling Show.

In Middle Tennessee, Brownland Farm’s No Frills shows got started March 11, with the second and third coming up April 8 and 9. The No Frills shows pick up again August 26 and 27, finishing the season October 7.
