The Mid-South Quarter Horse Association (MSQHA) continued the 2016 show season at the Tunica, Mississippi Expo Center with their AQHA-approved “Cotton Bowl Classic” on September 23-25, 2016. The show offered the frugal rate of $200 for one horse for all show entries, office and drug fees. Stalls were only $75 for the circuit and tack stalls only $50. The four judges for the show were Nancy Renfro, Jeff Greaves, Mike Hoepner, and Darren Wright. All performance classes were held in the climate-controlled arena, except trail classes. Saturday’s trail course was set up in the arena behind the barn, where exhibitors could enter and ride the course at their convenience. On Sunday morning, Vicki Higgs taught the Cowboy Sunday School lesson. Results of the show were not available at press time, but soon will be posted at the AQHA site: http://services2.aqha.com/.
The final show on MSQHA’s show calendar is the Turkey Circuit, November 25-27, 2016. For more information, visit www.midsouthqha.net and find them on facebook at MidSouth Quarter Horse Association.
