On September 25, 2016, Memphis Polo’s match against Clear Lake Polo was a benefit for the Fayette County Rotary and the Somerville Rotary Gift of Life.
Memphis won the match 9 to 6. Players on the Memphis Polo team were: #1: Sayle Atkinson, #2: Fargason Erb, #3: Alfredo Guerreño, #4: Bayard Erb.
Players on the Clear Lake team were: #1: Juan Valerdi, #2: Joe Irby, #3: Jimmy Wetter, #4: Midge Ellison.
The Rotary’s Gift of Life helps children from emerging countries receive treatment for heart disease. Over the last 40 years, Gift of Life has helped more than 18,000 children from 71 countries. There are over 70 Gift of Life programs throughout the world. The majority of these programs are based in Rotary Clubs or Rotary Districts on five continents.
