Brownland Farm in Franklin, TN began its USEF AA Rated show season with the Spring I horse show April 20-24, followed by Spring II, April 27 – May 1. Friday afternoon’s Special Hunter 3’ division drew a large number of entries – 30 in one class, 20 in another, and 13 in the handy class. Addison Bihm and Forever were first in one of the over fences classes.
The Brownland Hunter Derby is a popular feature of the summer show series. Brownland offers nine $5,000 Hunter Derbies with a $25,000 Hunter Derby Final featured at the Brownland Farm Autumn Classic.
The Marshall & Sterling US Pony Medal went to Amy Krebs riding And So Forth. The ASPCA equitation winner was Carly Alder riding TJC’s Champaign, owned by the Jaeckle Center. The THIS Children’s Medal went to Abigail Beaty, owner and rider of Third Day.
Karina Busch and Diamant III S won the $25,000 Grand Prix jumper class, with Miguel Ventura and his Swagger taking second. Chris Shroeder came in third and fourth on Diamant De Revel and Commissario, respectively. Michael Tokaruk was fifth on Charlie Jayne’s Cupid Shuffle. And Karina Busch also took sixth on Star Watch.
