Take a break from the suburban rush, hectic horse shows, and relax on the trails in the mountains. Find the quiet side of the Great Smoky Mountains (GSM) at Cades Cove, by horseback or carriage. Cades Cove Stables offers guided trail rides, carriage rides, and hayrides through the scenic views of the Smoky Mountains. Along the way you might even see a bear!
Cades Cove is the GSM Park’s most popular destination. The beautiful isolated valley comprises 6,800 acres, with opportunities to observe all kinds of wildlife, such as white-tailed deer, black bears, raccoons, turkeys, groundhogs, and all kinds of birds. Enjoy some of our photos from a recent visit.
Throughout the Park, there are also horse trails where you can ride your own horse. Find more information about GSM at www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm or about Cades Cove Stables at: www.cadescovestables.com
