Last point show of the season
Warm, sunny weather provided comfortable conditions for the first days of WTHJA's last point show of the season, AA-rated Harvest Time Show November 11-14 at the Germantown Charity Arena. But by Saturday November 13, the weather had turned chilly and rainy. Riders made their rounds over courses in the rain, while parents watched from inside their vehicles. Artist Ann M. Moore displayed her hunter medallions in the pavilion.
In Green Working Hunter, Cheryl Rubenstein's Casino, Leney Roberts' Cesatino, and Susan Laros' Levonworth, coached by Phoebe Sheeets, David Wright, and Jason Schnelle, respectively, jockeyed for top positions in each class.
Linda Brzoza on Vocarday and Van Gough, Brad Wolf on Rio Renoir, and Margot Sutherland on Vancourer battled for top honors in the Amateur Owner Division.
Linda Brzoza on No Nonsense swept the slate in Amateur Owner 3'3" Division, capturing first place in four classes, yielding only to Susan Laros' Levonworth in the Handy Class.
Holly Labry's Ruby was the horse to beat in the Junior Hunter Division, winning 3 out of 4 classes.
Louise Graves' Center Field won 3 out or 4 classes in the Small/Large Pony Division.
Parker Schooley's Gribaldi racked up 300 points to win the Junior Hunter Classic, while Addison Bihm's Jack in the Box won the Pony Hunter Classic with 150 points.
Addie Minnick's Paris was the top horse in the NAL/WIHS Childrens Hunter Classic, as Mindy Wurzburg's Overseas won the NAL/WIHS Adult Hunter Classic.
Sally Carrera, owned and ridden by David Wright won the 1.20m Classic II,2 and Black Diamond, ridden by Courtney Starring, won the 1.30m Classic II,2 jumper class. Peggy Jones' Adventura, ridden by Maggie Sarmiento, was second in the 1.30m Classic II,2.
