Marigny Park Stables Open House To introduce new resident trainer Ashley Fant Owners Caryn & Benn Holden opened their Marigny Park Stables in Oakland, TN Sunday October 3rd to introduce their new resident trainer Ashley Fant to friends and perspective new boarders and clients. The 19-stall barn features roomy 12 x 12 feet stalls, four or which are larger 12 X 16 feet stalls for foaling mares or large horses who need extra room. There is a covered 100 X 80 feet arena attached at the rear of the stables, a new course of jumps for training hunters at the front, and about 45 acres of pasture available for turnout. Caryn and Benn have built trails through the wooded areas and have plans for some natural cross country jumps. Ashley said she has been “training for eight years and has been here [at Marigny Park] since April.” She started riding over 20 years as a student of Jerome Robertson. She has mainly shown green horses for their owners, and worked for trainer and “R” judge Randy Mullins. Currently she has her own young horse in training and regularly takes her students to area schooling shows. “They provide good mileage for young riders,” she said. “Next year we’ll add the A-shows to our circuit.” Marigny Park Stables is located at 4625 Mebane Road.
