Allyson Rogers & Students Fare Well at Dressage Championships By Karen Raber Allyson Rogers of ALR Dressage in Arlington, TN, along with several of her amateur students, had a terrific outing at this year’s GAIG (Great American Insurance Group) Region 4 Dressage Championships in St. Louis, Missouri (October 7-10). Rogers took the Reserve Champion ribbon in her Training Level (Open) class on Samwise Gamgee, with a score of 70.10%, only one point off the Champion’s score (out of 25 riders). Allyson and “Sam” also placed fourth in First Level (Open) with a 67.368%. Meanwhile Allyson’s students won a number of ribbons in Championship classes. Riding at Training Level (Amateur), Ansley Stanfill, on Godiva, took sixth place in a class of 21 horses with 68.4%! Tina Cimino West, on her mare Dressed to Thrill, won sixth place at Third Level (Amateur) with a score of 63.37%. Karen Raber on Silvester placed third in both Fourth Level and Prix St. Georges (Amateur; 60.9% and 63.5% respectively). In Prix St. Georges (Amateur) Patty Fannin won fourth place on Fanfare (63.4%); then the pair went on to win the Intermediaire I Championship (Amateur). Fanfare gave her a lovely, obedient ride, earning 64.6%, despite being a bit tired on the last day of competition.
