WTPC Horse Show September 25 and 26 West Tennessee Pony Club (WTPC) held its annual hunter/ jumper fundraiser show on September 25 and 26 at the Germantown Charity Horse Show arena. Everyone’s cute meter was pegging, as there were so many cute ponies and children. The number of entries was up slightly from last year’s show, and the weather was just about perfect: partly cloudy with mild temperatures. It had rained every day for the previous 15 days, but the footing in all three rings was in good shape. The fun classes at this year’s show were the” Gamblers Choice” Jumper class, in which contestants could choose their own course. Each jump was assigned a number value depending on its degree of difficulty and the rider chooses which the jump order. The rider with the highest total number of points accumulated in the given time is the winner. The Tandem Hunter Over Fences class required two riders and horses to jump side by side over fences, and the Ride-A-Buck class requires the contestants to keep a dollar bill between the their seat and the saddle.
