Polo Art by Ann M. Moore
Limited Editions
"Forehand Power Offense." The frame measures about 41" by 16.5" and the three bas-relief castings show the progression of a nearside forehand swing (each casting is 10" in diameter). The artwork with the three reliefs "floating" within a single frame is available as a cast bronze limited edition and a polyurethane resin with a bronze finish limited edition. Each individual relief is also available framed separately as a limited edition bronze with a silver patina and a limited edition cast polyurethane resin with a silver finish.
"Forehand Focus" depicts a polo pony at full gallop as its rider concentrates to execute a nearside forehand swing. It celebrates the grace, skill, and athleticism of both the pony and the player. The piece is a hand-cast polyurethane bas-relief sculpture, with an aged silver finish, floating in a contemporary black frame. This is the middle bas-relief of the three-relief artwork described above. This particular piece was auctioned at the annual Chukkers for Charity polo event benefiting the Rochelle Center and Saddle Up! held this year on June 27th at Riverview Farm in Franklin, TN. Each of my polo reliefs is based on photos that I took last year at the Chukkers for Charity match. The Chukkers for Charity website is www.chukkersforcharity.net.
