Recreational Trails and Trail Riding Regional Getaway Locations For You And Your Horse Recreational trail riding is a great way to enjoy time on horseback in nature. There are many places and opportunities to do this, beginning with your own back pasture and local trails and extending to state parks and scenic rivers. Here are some of the opportunities available. Wolf River Wildlife Area is located on the banks of the Wolf River off Collierville-Arlington Road, north of Collierville, TN. The wildlife area encompasses more than 2,100 acres and includes walking, biking, and horseback riding trails. There is parking access just north of the Wolf River Bridge on Collierville-Arlington Road. For more information, contact the Shelby County Public Works office at 545-4266. The annual Buck Creek St. Jude Trail Ride will be held September 25-27, 2009, located at 92 Weaver Road in Alamo, TN.
