Massar Riders In The Ribbons At USDF Region 9 Championships October 17-19 Ally Rogers and her troupe of students were very successful at the USDF Region 9 Championships in Guthrie, Oklahoma October 17-19. Ally won the Prix St. Georges Championship Class with ROUTINER (68%) and was Reserve with ROUTINIER in the Intermediare 1 (67.75%), only .75 point behind the Champion. She won the Training Level Championship (70%) with DESERT QUEEN. DESERT QUEEN and ROUTINER are both owned by Heritage Manor Sport Horses. Ally’s students did very well, too. Patty Fannin won the Fourth Level Adult Amateur Championships on her horse FANFARE and Jayne Ryan from Jonesboro, Arkansas won Reserve in the Training Level Championship on WYEDALE (68%). Tina West was sixth with DRESSED TO THRILL in the Training Level Adult Amateur Championship class, which had over 20 entries. Tina has only owned the mare for a little over three months, so this was a major accomplishment for her. Karen Raber of Byhalia, Mississippi won third place on SILVESTOR in the Third Level Adult Amateur Championships (65.75%), very close behind the first and second place horses who scored 66% and 65.80% respectively. Morgan Bailey Carrier, age 19, won the Third Level Adult Amateur class in the open show. “Overall, we had a wonderful show!” Ally proudly said. The bad news after such success is that the truck broke down just outside of Oklahoma City on the way home, so the horses and riders were delayed a couple of days getting home to their well-deserved rest.
