Church Builds Arena For Outreach & Members Interest in horses is high in the area the Jesus Name Community Church serves in area near Walnut, Miss. "Lots of people have horses," reports pastor Gary Porterfield. Wanting to be of service to the community in another area, the church has recently completed construction of Gunnport Arena. Equine related activities are being scheduled at the arena. Several horse shows have been and the arena schedule will be published in the Mid-South Horse review on a regular basis. A Deep South Championship Rodeo was held April 19 and another one is scheduled for May 31. The church is located at 44 County Road 772 which is located north of Hwy in Alcorn County.
