My Horse Cally
"Spring Calico" Passes Away
On February 24, 2008 around 2:50 p.m. Jessie Smith had to put down her beloved Spring Calico, also know as Cally. She had lived a good 18 years. It was the year of 2001 when Jessie’s dad bought Cally. She was crazy and well known for it. She was very stubborn and wanted everything to be her way or the high way. Cally could also be very sweet and she was very spoiled. She would nay very time I would go outside. It didn’t matter if I was feeding her or not, said Jessie. Cally was the most unique horse. She was very colorful. When Jessie began riding Cally she showed at Briarwood Saddle Club where she there took Jessie to the top in barrels and poles. Cally won season after season. She always placed in barrels and pole no matter where she went. Cally also taught many of kids and adults how to ride. She became an all around horse. She even became a pleasure to ride. She was a one of a kind horse. There will never be another horse like her. Cally is preceded in heaven with her best friend JJ who died in 2003. She has left many of her friends heart broken and without words. She will be missed dearly but not forgotten.
Jessica is 19 years old, and lives in Byhalia, Mississippi.
Please don’t feel guilty or sad about me
It took lots of courage for you to set me free Free at last from the pain that I felt Now there’s peace, love and freedom Thank you for your help But know the one thing that saddens me no end
Is to watch you hurting my beloved friend You did your best to put my pain to rest Who could ask for more you are a true friend…
