Mississippi Trained Horse Wins NRCA Snaffle Bit Futurity October 7 in Reno Nevada Trainer Boyd Rice of Texas rode Oh Cay N Short to win the National Reined Cow Horse Snaffle Bit Futurity on October 7 in Reno Nevada. The 3 year old was sold by Mississippi trainer Jerry McCullar to Kevin and Sydney Knight earlier this year. McCullar has operated out of Strayhorn, Miss for the past 8 years. “ I knew he was a good horse, a good minded horse,” speaking of OH Cay N Short which he purchased as a yearling. After breaking and training him McCullar had Rice try out the futurity prospect.
