Mounted Shooting Championships In Tunica April 22-25 The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association is hosting a four day event at the Tunic Arena and Expo Center in Tunica, Miss. April 22 - 25. This event will serve as the association's Eastern Championships. The Colt Eliminator competitions will highlight the weekend. The Colt Eliminator match is held in three rounds. The first round is open to all entrants. The second round is whittled to the top 25 men and 25 women. The final round is for the top 10 men and 10 women. The winner of the both the men's and women's classes will win a new Colt Single Action Revolver. The "main shoot" will be held during the day on Friday through Sunday. Everyone will compete in six different stages, called courses of run, two stages each day. On Friday there will also be a rifle match and a Civil War Class. Cowboy Mounted Shooting is separated into divisions by gender, age (juniors limited and open, seniors limited and open, and wranglers - 12 and under), and skill levels 1-5.
