Dr. Charles Mercer Mississippi Young Veterinary Practitioner Charles P. Mercer, DVM, was recently awarded the Mississippi Young Veterinary Practitioner of the year. He is associated with Akin Equine Veterinary Services in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The award recipient must be a member of the Mississippi Vet. Medical Association in good standing with continuous practice of not more than 10 years in Mississippi to qualify for the award. Dr. Mercer graduated from MSU-CVM in 1996. He started at Akin Equine in December of 1996. The award was given by the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association.
