Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator

The Horse Review is seeking a qualified individual for a position of Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator. This is a part-time/ freelance position (10 hours per week). The successful candidate should enjoy a fast-paced environment, high attention to detail, an aptitude for marketing, social media and graphic design while demonstrating superior customer service skills. This position will work closely with the Publisher and Creative Director. 


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate internal marketing needs for the Horse Review such as scheduling social media posts and promotions, coordinating weekly email newsletters to opted-in subscribers, and designing marketing and sales flyers for sales team.  
  • Provide excellent customer service to advertising clients by designing and revising any advertising designs (print and digital) for advertising clients. This individual will coordinate with advertising clients on timely deadline reminders and appropriate advertising specs and dimensions. 
  • Coordinate ad operations ensuring all advertising files are up to date and to spec for print layout, and digital advertising is implemented during scheduled periods for clients. 
  • Responsible for formatting and editing photography for proper print and/ or digital publishing. 
  • Responsible for print layout and design for monthly print editions. 
  • ​Responsible for uploading photography and articles to website once articles are approved for publish. 


  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive 

Prior Graphic Design or Production Layout experience: 

  • Must be a self starter and take initiative with administrative and marketing support. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) is a must. 
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and prioritize multiple facets of the job. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Must have a professional demeanor, possess a strong work ethic, be reliable, honest, and confidential with all content in production. 

Job Type: Part-time | Freelance  



• 10 hours per week (two days working 5 hours per day, or three days working 3-3.5 per day) 

• Day shift (working between 7am - 6pm) 

• Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays if requested and approved by manager) 



  • Graphic design: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • Social Media Marketing: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • Adobe InDesign: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • Adobe Creative Suits: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • Canva: 2 years (Preferred) 

Work Location: Open to Remote if individual has Adobe Creative Suites on personal computer. If individual does not have access to Adobe Creative Suites on personal computer than In- Office is mandatory. Private office located in Eads, TN. If Remote a 15- 30 minute virtual call with Manager is required on days working to guarantee progression of tasks and responsibilities due by specific weekly deadlines.
