Get ‘Em Tight Productions hosted a Team Roping event at the Winona Coliseum, Winona, MS on February 6, 2021. Photographers Gary and Carol Cox were there to capture some of the action. The show included #10 and #8 roping divisions. The roping was pick 1 draw 2 or draw 3 for $100. First and second place prizes were a buckle and cash. Third through fifth places received a headstall and cash.
How Get ‘Em Tight Productions got started:
In the early 2000s, owners Randy Mills and Dan Cook would practice and compete in local team roping events. Then Dan moved to Colorado in 2007, and it wasn’t until 2018 that he moved his family back to Mississippi. When he moved back, Randy and Dan resumed roping together and decided to form Get ‘Em Tight Productions in 2019. In 2020 they added Barrel Racing to their event schedule as they continued to expand their business. It is not their intent to be a direct competitor of any other team roping or barrel racing organizations. Their mission is simply to provide another opportunity for ropers and barrel racers to compete for cash and prizes.
