The Oak Grove Hunt Club annual Combined Test and Dressage Show was held October 27, 2018 at Misty Meadow Farm in Olive Branch, MS. This schooling show is hosted by the Oak Grove Hunt Club and Peggy Hart, MFH to introduce the sport of combined training and dressage to new competitors. It also affords riders and horses to move up a division without the pressure of a sanctioned event. There were two phases in this combined test, dressage and cross country, as well as dressage only competition with lower level tests, including a walk test, and a Prix Caprilli test. The dressage judge was Suzy Logan of Moscow, TN

The cross country was on a compact course with plenty of jumps for each division. The divisions were: Novice, Beginner Novice, Modified Terrified, and Green as Grass. Rain on the two days prior to the event left the course a little slick at places, but still was quite safe. Many of the riders had never ridden cross county before; indeed, some had never ridden a dressage test either. Peggy Hart is leaving the flags up on the jumps for the next few weeks and has offered to allow riders to school the course. Contact: Peggychart@gmail.com
