Meridian Equine Education Center, in conjunction with Lucky Fox Farm, held their spring Hunter show on May 19, 2018 at their facility on Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon, TN. “Our show went really well on Saturday. We had over 200 entries, beautiful (although hot) weather, and we received a lot of positive feedback from exhibitors,” said Cristin Jordan of Meridian Equine. “It was a great day of horse showing with really amazing people and horses. Pamela Parton Photography was our photographer. It looks like she got some good photos.  She said she filled up 7 SD cards! We can't wait to see you all at our next show on August 11th.” That show will be an MTHJA approved show, as will their third Hunter show on September 15.

Classes offered included mini stirrup, walk/trot hunter, green rider, beginner rider, short and long stirrup, pre-children’s and pre-adult hunters, amateur adult hunter, children’s hunter, and equitation classes. Some fun classes were the puddle jumpers 2’, over the moon jumpers 2’6”.

Short Stirrup Hunter U/S champion and Equitation champion was Ava Satterfield on Spanky. Special Hunter champion was Leonetta Tate on Twinkie, and Tate was Pre-Children’s Hunter champion on Kingston. Pre-Adult champion was Alley’s Kid, ridden by Lauren Brown. Looks like no one could Top This, with Lauren Alexandra Terakawa riding to Open Equitation champion and to reserve champion in Over the Moon jumpers. Exit Strategy was champion in Over the Moon jumpers, with Brieanne Butler riding. Brieanne was also champion in the Puddle Jumpers division on Baron.

In addition to hunter shows, Meridian Equine offers a variety of other shows, such as trail obstacle challenges and western shows. Find more information at http://meridianequine.com/ and on facebook at Meridian Equine Education Center Programs and Events.
