The Jaeckle Centre in Thompson’s Station, Tenn. continued its Snowflake series of horse shows with a Jumper show on February 17, 2018 and a Hunter show on February 24-25, 2018. The Jaeckle Centre welcomes two new trainers to their facility: Erin LeCompt and Roger Seitzmeir.
Erin comes to Tennessee from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, where she was the equestrian coach for the Hunt Seat, Western, and Saddle Seat teams. She coached and taught riding lessons at MSU for nineteen years. In her own college career at Miami University in Ohio, she rode on the IHSA team there all four years and was team captain her senior year. Erin is a USHJA Certified Instructor and is the head instructor of the Centre’s school horse program.
Roger comes to the Centre from Waldpoint Farm in North Fort Myers, Florida. He is a Grand Prix rider who has competed all over the world. His specialty is matching the right horse with the rider/prospective buyer. He has been importing horses for over 25 years, and brings that and his riding expertise to the Centre. At Waldpoint, he and his wife Kim taught all ages and abilities in the riding lesson program; took students to schooling and rated shows, where they competed in all levels from beginner hunter and jumper classes to Grand Prix. His teaching goal is to provide riders with a solid foundation and to build confidence and good communication skills with the horse.
