MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin proudly hosted the 49th annual spring college rodeo starting from Thursday, April 6 through Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Ned Ray McWherter Agricultural Complex and NW (Doc) Robinson Arena. Action started at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

The UT Martin rodeo has been named the Ozark Region “Rodeo of the Year” for 11 consecutive years. The event serves as a platform for the College National Finals Rodeo, which will be held in Casper, Wyo. on June 9-17, 2017.

This year’s 49th installment of the UT Martin Spring College Rodeo was highlighted by a heartfelt salute to Coy Lutz. The former UT Martin cowboy passed away last May after a promising freshman season and was honored with an emotional tribute on Friday evening.

Along with UT Martin, teams from the University of Arkansas-Cossatot, University of Arkansas-Monticello, East Mississippi Community College, Missouri Valley College, Murray State University, Northwest Mississippi Community College, Southern Arkansas University, University of Tennessee, Three Rivers College and University of West Alabama took part in the festivities.
