Hillsboro Hounds Hunter Pace

Hillsboro Hounds held their annual Hunter Pace on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Time Out Farm in Lynnville, TN as part of their “Fun Fall Weekend.” Hunter Pace teams rode through the Hillsboro Hunt country, hoping to match the ideal time by division.  There was also a Handy Hunter course for individuals set in a field of 8 to 12 jumps at 2’9.” For the wee youngsters, the hunt club provided a Leadline and Costume Class. The Hunter Pace was open to all proficient riders. Tailgating followed the rides.

These first three trophies were awarded to teams that were closest to optimum time in their divisions:

Hillsboro Hounds/ Cedar Knob Hounds Hunter Pace Trophy- Tally Ho Divison:
Jennifer Walker and Bill Haggard

Repeat After Me Trophy- Larking Divison:
Kristine Hopfensperger and Katie Anthony

The Murphy Trophy- Hill Topper Divison:
Bill Andrews and Roman Kaul

The Hooker Bowl- Best Turned Out Family Pair award went to: Emily and Hill McAlister
The Templeton Perpetual trophy- Best Turned Out Pair went to:  Heather Dunham and Natalie Dankmeyer (IMG_2390)
 
In the Children's classes:
Lead line winner - Rosie Voigt
Costume winners - Rosie Voigt (dressed as a fox) and Skylar Bledsoe (dressed as a cowboy)
 
Cub hunts with the Hillsboro Hounds continue every Wednesday and Saturday through October. Opening Meet is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th at Happy Hill Pavilion. Find more information about the Hillsboro Hounds at: http://www.hillsborohounds.com/
