SOUTHAVEN, MS – New rodeo royalty was crowned tonight at the Landers Center in Southaven, MS, as part of the 2015 Rodeo of the Mid-South and the Mid-South Fair.

The title of Miss Rodeo of the Mid-South went to Mary Ashley Rohrsheib of Falkville, AL. She is an 18-year-old freshman at Wallace Community College in Hanceville, AL, where she is working on her nursing degree. She plans to eventually become a nurse practitioner.

The title of Teen Miss Rodeo of the Mid-South went to Lily Caradine of Springville, AL. She is 17-year-old homeschooled senior and plans to obtain a degree in Agricultural Communications.

The title of Junior Miss Rodeo of the Mid-South went to Ashton Couch of Lowell, AR. She is 13-year-old seventh grader at /Elmwood Middle School. She hopes to attend the University of Arkansas in the future.

The title of Rodeo of the Mid-South Princess went to Rylee Lemley of Batesville, AR. She is an 8-year-old third grader at Southside Elementary in Batesville, AR. She hopes to someday become a county extension agent.

The winner of the horsemanship category was Lily Caradine of Falkville, AL. This award goes to the top scoring contestant in the horsemanship category across all categories.

The winner of the Spirit of the Mid-South Award went to Lily Caradine of Falkville, AL. This award is voted by all the pageant contestants to recognize the most helpful and personable competitor in the pageant.

The winner of the Pageant Coordinator’s Award went to Shayna Collins of Coldwater, MS. This award is presented by the pageant coordinator to recognize the contestant who first submitted a complete entry.

The winner of the rodeo ticket sales contest was Layla Holland of Millington, TN. The winner received a certificate for a pair of Justin Boots, donated by rodeo producer Lecile Harris.
 
Winners of each age division win a custom tooled bronc halter provided by Van’s Leathercraft, a gift certificate from Cowboy Corner, autograph sheets by Western Image Communications, Inc., a Montana Silversmith crown and buckle, a banner by Archer Monogram and fresh flower bouquet by Lynn Doyle Flowers of Memphis.

Horsemanship category winner received a custom tooled saddle blanket, provided by Van’s Leathercraft.

The Spirit of the Mid-South Award is a gift donated by Jerry and Connie Nanney of Austin, AR.

Rodeo of the Mid-South is an annual event, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Stock contractor is Pete Carr Classic Pro Rodeo Company, and the rodeo producer is Lecile Harris of Collierville, TN.

Judges were Dr. Tricia Satkowski of Memphis, TN, Vicki Rogers of Arlington, TN, York Gill of Memphis, TN, Hiram Sumrall of Summit, MS, Amy Wilson of Nashville, TN, and Andrea DeBerry of Hernando, MS.
